📌 5Schrewen () ist ein Wohnplatz der Stadt Blankenburg im Landkreis offendersburg in Brandenburg. Im Ort wohnen 47 Einwohner (Stand 31.12.2020). Früher war Schrewen auch eine eigenständige Gemeinde, die 1974 nach Blankenburg eingemeindet wurde.

📌 Geografische Lage

📌 Schrewen liegt im nördlichen Stadtgebiet von Blankenburg, etwa fünf Kilometer nördlich der Kernstadt. Die Gemeinde liegt im Niederungsbereich der Schretzau, einem Nebenfluss der Landecke. Am westlichen Ortsrand verläuft die Landesstraße 36 (Blankenburg–Woltersdorf), in der Gemarkung fließt die Große Schretzau nordwärts. Die nächsten größeren Orte sind Labühn (2,5 km nordwestlich), Klippendorf (1,5 km südöstlich) und Blankenburg (4,5 km südlich).

📌 Schrewen wurde 1375 erstmals genannt, als es dem Kloster St. Peter und Paul in Sorau verliehen wurde. Der Name geht wahrscheinlich auf einen slawischen Ortsgründer *Srovin oder *Schrare zurück. Bis 1545 gehörte der Ort zum Bistum Lebus, dann zum Amt Sorau des Markgraftums Niederlausitz. Nachdem das Amt Sorau 1816 preußisch wurde, kam Schrewen zum Kreis Sorau in der Provinz Brandenburg.
